Khaberni - The Kuwaiti Ministry of Education announced yesterday (Wednesday) that it has opened an urgent investigation into two incidents relating to the organization of school activities in violation of the rules and regulations governing educational activities, stating that the Kuwaiti Minister of Education, Engineer Syed Jalal Tabtabai, has issued a decision to suspend those responsible for these activities from work until the investigations are completed.
The ministry said in a press statement that, stemming from its national responsibility and its commitment to maintaining the dignity of educational institutions and adherence to the laws and regulations in force in the State of Kuwait, it has opened an urgent investigation into two incidents related to the organization of school activities in breach of the rules and regulations governing educational activities, confirming that what occurred is a transgression that requires accountability.
It added that these incidents clearly violate the provisions of Ministerial Decision No. 135 of 2025 concerning the organization of celebrations and events within schools, which stipulates that no activity or event is to be held without the supervision of the specialized educational activities departments, and only after obtaining prior approval.
The ministry emphasized that it will not tolerate any failure to follow instructions or breach of the established regulations. It clarified that the Minister of Education, Engineer Syed Jalal Tabtabai, issued a decision to suspend those responsible for these activities in the two concerned schools, including school principals and teachers of the course, until the investigative committee completes its work, preparing for legal and administrative actions against anyone found negligent or in violation of their professional and administrative duties. The Ministry of Education urged all school administrations at various educational stages to fully comply with the laws and ministerial decisions regulating educational activities, and to ensure that all events conducted within schools align with educational goals and serve the national interest, avoiding any practices outside the educational framework.
