Khaberni - The Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, advisor Turki Al-Alsheikh confirmed that Manchester United is close to transitioning to a new owner.
Al-Sheikh wrote on his account on the platform "X": "The happiest news I heard today is that Manchester United is now in an advanced stage of completing its sale to a new investor, may it be better than the previous owners."
Details of the potential deal have not yet been disclosed, at a time when the club owned by the Glazer family, with a partial partnership from Jim Ratcliffe, is experiencing a decline in results in the Premier League amid increasing anger from its fans.
Potential Friendly Match in Saudi Arabia
In another context, a media report last week indicated that Manchester United might play a mid-season friendly against Al-Nassr.
According to the British "Daily Express", Manchester United is considering the option of having a friendly match in Saudi Arabia, given its absence from European competitions this season.
The newspaper added that discussions are still ongoing about the staging of this potential encounter, which may see Portuguese star and Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo facing his former team Manchester United.
