What is the truth about Fadel Shakers innocence Clarification from his son Video

Khaberni - The news circulated in the past hours about the Lebanese artist Fadel Shaker being acquitted of all charges against him caused wide controversy on social media platforms, after news pages reported that he was "officially released" days after he turned himself in to the Lebanese army.

However, Lebanese judicial sources denied the accuracy of this information to local media, confirming that the judiciary has not issued any verdict acquitting Shaker so far, explaining that what took place legally was the overturning of previous in-absentia judgments against him, according to Lebanese law, which stipulates that any verdict issued in absentia is automatically voided as soon as the accused surrenders to the authorities, with the trial to start anew in his presence at the military court.

His lawyer, Amata Mubarak, confirmed that she had submitted a formal request to photograph the four previous files in preparation for the new trial sessions, noting that the judicial proceedings were within legal standards, and that Shaker is still undergoing investigation by the intelligence directorate of the Lebanese army.

For his part, Mohammad Fadel Shaker clarified in a video clip that the news of his father's innocence is true but old, pointing out that the Lebanese judiciary had acquitted his father in 2018 of the charge of fighting against the Lebanese army, but the media did not highlight this at the time.

He added that the family is currently facing new allegations related to the theft of $130,000, affirming that these charges are false and ludicrous, expressing his confidence in the integrity and justice of the Lebanese judiciary in the upcoming period, while also sending regards to the Lebanese army and the president.
