Arsenal Star Reveals Reason Behind Salahs Decline

Khaberni - Theo Walcott, a former Arsenal star, believes that the death of Diego Jota had a psychological impact on Mohamed Salah, leading to the decline in performance of the Egyptian star with Liverpool.

The Portuguese striker died at the age of 28 in a car accident with his brother Andre Silva on July 3, just 11 days after his marriage to his partner Rute Cardoso, who bore him three children.

Recently, many of the "Reds" players have faced criticism for falling performance levels, including Mohamed Salah, who was attacked by Wayne Rooney, Manchester United legend, and many other stars who blamed the Egyptian winger for Liverpool's declining results after the team suffered three consecutive defeats.

In an interview with "It’s Called Soccer," the former Arsenal winger discussed the decline in Salah's performance, who scored only 3 goals in 10 games for Liverpool this season in various competitions, and said: I think we all forget how huge the moral blow was for Liverpool with Diego Jota's death.

Walcott added: When you have someone very close to you and you never see this person who can have a positive influence – with their personality, the way they are on the training field, and the way they bring people together on its importance – it can greatly affect the team, and it can specifically impact Salah.

Theo Walcott continued in his talk: I think we forget that these guys, yes, they need to go and do the job, yet something terrible happened to a big part of their life in Liverpool, and yes, we all want these players to perform, but we forget that they are human.

The former English star continued: Salah is doing his best, but things are not going as he wants, and the death might be a contributing factor, and I have no doubt that it affects him.
