Her Majesty's tour in the governorate began with a visit to the home of the couple Yasser Abu Omar and Wad Al-Ruwad, who run a home-based photography studio for children in Ma'an established through a grant from the Royal Hashemite Court.

The couple showcased to Her Majesty the journey of the project that started with simple resources and has become today the main source of income for the family.

During her tour in the city, the Queen visited a sweet shop run by the young Mohammad Al-Ma'ani, a small project famous for offering "Ma'ani Harissa," which attracts visitors and passersby through the city.

Al-Ma'ani expressed his gratitude for the gesture that reflects Queen Rania's support for income-generating projects, which represent an important pillar for the local economy and self-employment opportunities.

Additionally, Her Majesty met at King Abdullah I Palace in Ma'an, a group of beneficiaries of the Royal Hashemite Court's grant, along with several local association heads, in the presence of Ma'an Governor Khaled Hijazi, President of the Association of Social Development Centers Dr. Feryal Saleh, and the Executive Director of the Jordanian Company for Reviving Heritage Moayad Abu Roman.

Her Majesty conveyed King Abdullah's greetings to the people of Ma'an and expressed her delight in being in Ma'an Governorate, praising the spirit of cooperation she witnessed among project owners and developmental initiatives, emphasizing the importance of the diversity in the projects she reviewed.

It is noted that subsidized loans were provided to 124 families in Ma'an Governorate, under the supervision of the Association of Social Development Centers, with 88 of these projects expanding.

Several beneficiaries and association heads also discussed their successful experiences in establishing income-generating projects, underscoring the importance of the support provided in improving their living conditions and enhancing their economic independence.

At the end of the visit, Her Majesty met with 14 youth beneficiaries from the Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans in Ma'an Governorate, along with representatives of four local orphan associations.

The General Director of the Fund, Nour Al Hammoud, presented a briefing on the efforts of the Fund in empowering orphaned youth through education and professional support, explaining that up to today, the number of beneficiaries in Ma'an had reached 279 youth, 196 of whom successfully completed their education, in cooperation with four local associations.
