Khaberni - In a horrifying incident that shook local communities in Yemen, an angry wife poured boiling oil over her husband's body while he was sleeping, as revenge for him marrying another woman just a few days earlier.
The incident took place in the area of Ibb in the governorate of Taiz, where the woman could not control herself after her husband's new marriage, and planned a shocking form of revenge. According to local sources, she waited until he was in a deep sleep and then poured the boiling oil on him, causing severe burns.
Medical sources explained that the husband was first taken to a local hospital to receive emergency treatment, before being transferred later to a specialist hospital in the city of Ibb, given the severity of the injuries he sustained in various parts of his body.
The incident stirred widespread controversy on social media platforms and among the locals, and security forces initiated investigations to determine the circumstances of the incident and establish the legal responsibilities involved.
