Khaberni - In a stunning astronomical scene that captivated skywatchers, the Northern Border region in Saudi Arabia witnessed, at dawn on Tuesday, the appearance of the "Harvest Moon" in the first supermoon phenomenon during the year 2025.

The moon reached fullness at 6:48 AM on October 7th, 2025, appearing at a distance of approximately 361,455.9 kilometers from Earth, in a scene that attracted the attention of astronomy enthusiasts and natural phenomena observers.

This moon is known as the "Harvest Moon" due to its historical role in helping farmers long ago to complete their harvesting at night, thanks to its bright light that lasts longer than usual.

The moon is classified within the category of supermoons due to its relative proximity to Earth, which makes it appear larger and clearer by up to 14 percent compared to regular moons.

This appearance has a distinctive astronomical character, as it coincides with the moon being at the ascending node of Earth's orbit around the sun, making it rise from the true east approximately, in a rare scene that combines scientific accuracy and the beauty of the celestial view.
