Washington Signals TakeItorLeaveIt Settlement to End Negotiations Within Days

Khaberni - Tel Aviv expects a ceasefire agreement to be reached and the deal concluded by the end of the week, if negotiations proceed according to the scheduled American plan.

However, according to Israeli Channel 12, if the ongoing negotiations falter, the United States may propose a final settlement based on the principle of "take it or leave it," while the American administration confirms its determination to conclude this round of talks within the coming few days.

Today's day two negotiations mainly focused on presenting the positions of both sides, and the American envoys - Witkoff and Jared Kushner have not yet arrived in Egypt. Additionally, Israeli Minister Ron Dermer is not present there.

A source familiar with the negotiations told Israeli Channel 12, "We are preparing to announce it at the beginning of next week, and it is expected to be signed by the end of the week, provided no sudden changes occur."

Israeli security and political officials expressed optimism today about the possibility of reaching an agreement. Israel estimates that within a few days, by the end of the week, it will be possible to know if the agreement will be signed.

However, Tel Aviv is concerned about the demands Hamas will make regarding the lists of prisoners, withdrawal lines, or the timelines for releasing prisoners.

The optimism in Israel stems from an "exceptional determination" by the Americans and other mediators to reach an agreement.

But Hamas insisted today, as part of the day two of the talks, that the release of the last Israeli prisoner will not occur until after the complete withdrawal of the Israeli army forces from the Gaza Strip.

Israeli Channel 12 reported that Israel will demand to receive all living prisoners in one day.

Hamas insists on Barghouti and others

Reports indicate that Hamas is demanding the release of Fatah leader Marwan Barghouti and other leaders, which Israel refuses to release so far. Israel fears that this could push Hamas to adopt a strict strategy, particularly as Trump expects rapid progress in the talks.

Netanyahu has instructed his negotiation team in Egypt not to exceed the limited mandate given to them and not to discuss issues related to the continuation of the fighting.
