Khaberni - Qatar announced, on Tuesday evening, the visit of the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, to Sharm el-Sheikh in the Arab Republic of Egypt to join the ongoing negotiations between the concerned parties regarding Gaza, amid intensified regional and international efforts to achieve a permanent ceasefire.

The participation of Al Thani in the meetings, which the Qatari delegation has attended over the past few days, marks a critical phase of the consultations, underscoring the mediators' determination to reach an agreement that ends the catastrophic war in Gaza, according to a brief statement from the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Trump had published on Monday, September 29, 2025, a 20-point plan to end the war in Gaza, which still requires the approval of the concerned parties and specifically stipulates him chairing a committee overseeing the transitional phase in the region.

Indirect negotiations between the delegations of Hamas and Israel began in Egypt on Monday to discuss the mechanisms for exchanging detainees in Gaza and prisoners in the occupation jails, as part of Trump’s plan.

Hamas has delivered its response to Trump's plan regarding the war on Gaza to the mediators.
