Khaberni - Egypt began on Tuesday the discussion of the lists of Palestinian prisoners scheduled to be released from Israeli prisons according to the exchange deal proposed in US President Donald Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza, according to what Cairo News reported from sources.

Cairo News said that the prisoner lists that Hamas demands to be released include "Marwan Barghouti, Ahmad Sa'adat, Hassan Salameh, Abbas al-Sayed, and others."

The American president's plan to end the war in Gaza includes an article stating, "As soon as all detainees are released, Israel will release 250 prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment, in addition to 1700 Palestinians from Gaza arrested after October 7, 2023, including all women and children detained in that context. For every Israeli detainee whose body is returned, Israel will release the remains of 15 Palestinians."

And Cairo News added that Hamas has confirmed its readiness to hand over all living detainees and bodies, noting that the movement demands clarification of the mechanisms and procedures necessary to implement Trump's plan and guarantees to prevent Israel from returning to aggression on Gaza.

And confirmed, that Egypt is intensifying its efforts with the various parties to reach a clear agreement and to determine the mechanisms and procedures required to implement Trump's plan.

It was reported that delegations from Qatar, Turkey, and the United States continue to arrive in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh to participate in the meetings dedicated to implementing Trump's plan to stop the war in Gaza.

Trump had published on Monday, September 29, 2025, a 20-point plan to end the war in Gaza, which still requires the approval of the concerned parties, and specifically provides for him to chair a committee overseeing the transitional phase in the sector.

Indirect talks between the delegations of Hamas and Israel began in Egypt on Monday to discuss the mechanisms for exchanging detainees in Gaza and prisoners in the occupation's prisons, as part of Trump's plan.

Hamas has delivered its response to Trump's plan regarding the war on Gaza to the mediators.
