Khaberni - The commander of field medicine in the Royal Medical Services, Brigadier Dr. Ahmad Al-Sbeihi, said that there are five Jordanian field hospitals located in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. These are: the Jordanian Field Hospital in Khan Yunis, the Jordanian Field Hospital in Tal Al-Hawa in Gaza, the Jordanian Field Hospital in Nablus, the Jordanian Field Hospital in Jenin, and the Jordanian Field Hospital in Ramallah.
Al-Sbeihi added in statements to "Al-Mamlaka" channel on Tuesday evening that the medical staff at the Khan Yunis hospital numbers about 130 people, noting that the royal directives were issued to establish a second hospital in Khan Yunis immediately after the outbreak of the war.
He explained that the "Jordanian Medical Corridor" initiative implemented 12 medical evacuation operations involving 646 children from Gaza, including 193 patients and 453 companions.
Al-Sbeihi mentioned that the number of patients visiting the Jordanian field hospitals in Gaza and the West Bank since the beginning of the war on Gaza reached 704,429, while the number of surgical operations performed reached 26,925, and the number of war injuries dealt with by the hospitals reached 62,474.
He clarified that the Jordanian initiative provided 637 artificial limbs for the wounded, pointing out that the Jordanian field hospitals encompass multiple specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, brain and nerve surgery, vascular surgery, as well as obstetrics, gynecology, and oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Al-Sbeihi confirmed that the Jordanian medical teams are working with great determination and bravery despite the war conditions, and with high morale deriving from the courage and strength of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who was among the first to initiate the sending of field hospitals to Gaza. He mentioned that His Majesty the King continues to follow the "Reclaiming Hope" initiative, which undergoes continuous updating and development.
