Khaberni - A leader in Hamas stated on Tuesday that the movement's delegation in Egypt is striving to overcome all obstacles to achieve a ceasefire agreement in Gaza that meets the aspirations of the Palestinian people.
The leader added that they have dealt with high responsibility regarding ceasefire proposals in Gaza, including the latest Trump plan.
Fawzi Barhoum, a leader in the movement, during a televised talk, pointed out that the delegation participating in the current negotiations in Egypt is striving to overcome all obstacles to achieving an agreement that meets the aspirations of the Palestinian people and the residents of the Gaza Strip.
He mentioned that the movement wants a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire and the complete withdrawal of the occupying army from all areas of the Gaza Strip, unrestricted entry of humanitarian and relief aid, ensuring the return of displaced persons to their residential areas, and the immediate commencement of a comprehensive reconstruction process under the supervision of a Palestinian national authority of technocrats.
He also emphasized the necessity of establishing a fair prisoner exchange deal.
Barhoum warned of attempts by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to obstruct and sabotage the current round of negotiations.
