Khaberni - Syrian Defense Minister Marhef Abou Kasra announced on Tuesday a "comprehensive ceasefire" with the Kurds in the north and northeast of the country, following his meeting with the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi in Damascus.
Abou Kasra wrote in a post on "X": "I just met with Mr. Mazloum Abdi in the capital Damascus and we agreed on a comprehensive ceasefire at all fronts and military deployment points in the north and northeast of Syria, to be implemented immediately."
This came after confrontations between forces associated with both sides in the city of Aleppo on Monday night, resulting in the deaths of two people.
