Saudi Arabia Schools required to send marks to parents electronically

Khaberni - The Saudi Ministry of Education has required schools to issue an electronic notification twice during each academic term, including detailed student results in all subjects, which allows him and his family periodic and continuous access to his level of academic progress firsthand, and to address any aspects requiring improvement, in a step to enhance communication and transparency with students and their parents.

Also, the schools, at all educational levels, are directed to adhere to the updated executive procedures in the student grading regulation and the distribution of marks for the current academic year.

The Ministry of Education attributed this to enhancing school performance and ensuring comprehensive monitoring of students' academic achievement levels, pointing out that the new mechanism focuses on making the evaluation process a daily and continuous practice starting from the first day of the academic period.

The ministry emphasized the necessity for the teacher to regularly record his notes and evaluation of the student in the evaluation follow-up log, including tangible evidence and proofs of the student's level, to be documented in the "student's achievement file," to support the evaluation summary recorded by the teacher in the digital system at the end of each period.

The procedures include diverse oral and written evaluations after completing each unit of study or group of lessons, and the final mark assigned to these evaluations is calculated by adding the marks obtained by the student, with at least two entries in the electronic system during the same academic term to ensure that the final evaluation reflects the overall performance of the student throughout the entire period.
