Khaberni - Spanish media reports have reopened the possibility of Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi returning to the ranks of Real Madrid.
Marca newspaper confirmed that "the door to return has never been closed," even though his transfer from Paris Saint-Germain would be complicated due to the high value of his contract, which extends until the summer of 2029, and after the Mbappe deal negatively affected the relationship between the two clubs.
Hakimi, who is currently considered one of the best right-backs in the world, has a strong relationship with Real Madrid, the club where he grew up and moved through its youth ranks to the first team before leaving in 2020 to Inter Milan, then transferring to Paris Saint-Germain in a massive deal worth about 60 million euros. Since his arrival in Paris, the Moroccan international has proven his great technical value thanks to his high speed and his ability to contribute both offensively and defensively.
Hakimi continues in his current season with Paris Saint-Germain, delivering consistent performances under coach Luis Enrique, where he has participated in most games and contributed several crucial assists and goals in both the French league and the Champions League, making him an indispensable element in the team’s system.
Nevertheless, Real Madrid's desire to reclaim one of its own remains, especially as the club searches for a long-term right-back capable of combining physical strength and offensive skills, qualities that Hakimi has possessed since leaving the team five years ago. However, the deal seems financially difficult, as Paris Saint-Germain will not easily part with their star, especially because he is bound by a long-term contract with the club until 2029, meaning that any attempt to reclaim him would require a significant financial offer.
Hakimi’s future in Real currently appears stable, where he enjoys a key role in the lineup and a good relationship with the club's management, and a strong on-field partnership with Kylian Mbappe, which is one of the strongest assets in the Parisian team.
Nevertheless, the possibility of his return to Real Madrid remains viable in the long term, especially if the player expresses a desire to return to the club where his professional career began.
It's worth noting that Hakimi, who is 26 years old, has played in more than 60 international matches with the Moroccan national team, and was one of the prominent stars of the "Atlas Lions" in the 2022 World Cup, helping the team reach the semi-finals for the first time in its history, which enhanced his status as one of the leading Arab and African players in Europe and the world.
