Khaberni - The French national team coach Didier Deschamps confirmed that he is waiting for the medical team's opinion regarding the injury of the team's star and captain Kylian Mbappé in the ankle, before the team's World Cup qualifying matches.
Mbappé was substituted in the second half of the match that his team Real Madrid won against Villarreal 3-1, on Saturday, moments after scoring the third goal for his team, where he sat holding his right ankle then left the field slowly without assistance.
Deschamps added in a press conference: "I don't have any further information at this time, we will talk if there is anything new, regardless of the player and the club he belongs to."
He continued: "I have spoken with him; he has a minor issue but it is not serious otherwise he wouldn't have come today, it will take some time with the medical team to see how things go."
France hosts the Azerbaijan team, next Friday, at the "Parc des Princes" stadium in the French capital, Paris, then travels to Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, to face their team on Monday, leading Group Four in the qualifiers after winning the first two matches.
