Khaberni - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that the war in the Gaza Strip is nearing its end, describing the October 7th attack as "the most horrific event he has witnessed".
During a podcast interview with American media personality Ben Shapiro on the second anniversary of the October 7 events, Netanyahu stressed that the war that started in Gaza "will end in Gaza," through "the release of all detainees and the end of Hamas rule."
He also expressed hope of achieving this goal soon with support from US President Donald Trump.
In the midst of ongoing negotiations in Cairo, the Israeli Prime Minister stated that although Israel is nearing the end of the war, there are still tasks remaining to achieve "complete victory", and that despite the severe blows Hamas has received, they have not yet been defeated.
Netanyahu noted that Israel emerged from October 7th as the strongest country in the region.
In the context of discussing the American plan to end the war, Netanyahu praised the cooperation with President Trump, saying that their talks were "very friendly" despite not agreeing on all points.
Regarding the Iranian threat, Netanyahu warned that Iran is currently developing intercontinental ballistic missiles with a range of up to 8000 kilometers, emphasizing that if Tehran increases this range by another 3000 kilometers, American cities like New York and Washington could be within the reach of its nuclear weapons.
He pointed out that Israel has developed "the most advanced offensive weapons" in the world and shared them with the United States, praising the joint cooperation in developing missile defense systems such as "Iron Dome" and "David's Sling".
In conclusion, Netanyahu mentioned the possibility of expanding the Abraham Accords to include more Islamic nations, but he emphasized that this first requires the war in Gaza to end.
