Khaberni - The Ministry of Awqaf started the preliminary registration yesterday on Sunday for those wishing to perform the Hajj for Jordanians and residents of the Gaza Strip in Jordan through the electronic Hajj portal (https://hajj.gov.jo/reg), and registration will continue until Sunday the 26th of this month.

A statement issued by the ministry today, Monday, called for adherence to registration conditions, which require that the registrant, either male or female, must have been born on or before 31-12-1980, and must not have previously performed the Hajj. Also, those chosen will be required to provide a certificate from the Ministry of Health, as per Saudi Ministry of Hajj instructions, confirming that the nominee is free of diseases that prevent them from performing Hajj, including: failure of major organs (heart, lungs, liver, or kidneys), neurological and psychological diseases that impair cognition or are accompanied by severe mobility disabilities, senility accompanied by dementia, pregnancy in the last two months or high-risk pregnancy at any stage, active cancer requiring chemotherapy, biological or radiation treatment, and active infectious diseases that affect public health (such as open tuberculosis "pulmonary tuberculosis").

Registrants are also required to pay 200 Jordanian Dinars for the original registrant, which is a refundable amount and can be paid through "eFAWATEERcom", or by visiting any branch of the Jordan Islamic Bank or any branch of Safwa Islamic Bank.
