Arab national teams that can secure their spot in the World Cup Get to know them

Khaberni - The number of qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in football will increase in October, with the conclusion of the qualifications in different continental federations nearing, where by the end of 2025, the identities of 42 out of 48 participants in the World Cup will be known, with playoffs to determine the last qualifiers, where three Arab national teams have already secured qualification and this number may increase before the end of the year.

Here are the qualification prospects to the finals that have so far secured participation from 18 national teams, including America, Canada, and Mexico, which will host the tournament next year.

Africa
Egypt will qualify on Wednesday if it beats Djibouti in Casablanca, or if Burkina Faso fails to win against Sierra Leone.

The Egyptian national team leads its group with 20 points while the Djibouti national team is at the bottom with just one point.

Algeria, leading its group with 19 points, will qualify on Thursday if it defeats Somalia in Oran, ties with Somalia and Uganda and Mozambique fail to win, or if Uganda and Mozambique lose.

Asia
After having six national teams qualified, another six will compete in the fourth round in Doha and Jeddah between 8th and 14th this month.

Qatar, UAE, and Oman will compete in the first group, and Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Indonesia in the second; the winner of each group qualifies for the World Cup, while the runners-up will face off in a fifth stage in November that qualifies to the playoff.
