Khaberni - Barcelona’s coach, Hansi Flick, confirmed that he will ensure his players use the 1-4 loss against Sevilla today, Sunday, to correct mistakes in the future, as they look forward to defending their Spanish first division title.
Flick's team suffered two consecutive defeats in all competitions, after losing 1-2 to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last Wednesday, and Sunday's defeat ended their unbeaten start in the Spanish league. They are now two points behind the leader, Real Madrid.
Flick, whose team has 19 points from 8 matches, told reporters: "I have to accept this defeat today, and I appear somewhat optimistic. We also see some negative points in our performance, which we need to change."
He added: "The first half was not good, we had no solutions, it really wasn’t good, but I appreciate the players' reaction in the second half, what we offered and how we played? It was really good."
He continued: "With this defeat, and these feelings, it is important that we keep this feeling, and when we start again after the break, we will fight for every title."
Flick said he is happy that the players are going to participate with their national teams during the international break, as the team will play again on October 18 against Girona.
The German coach said: "At this time, it's good to have a break, so that players can play with their national teams, I believe the atmosphere there is perhaps different."
He added: "When they return, we will do our utmost to return to the level we desire to present usually, that is most important, but we also need, anew, players at their highest levels."
