Khaberni - Arsenal English stated, "Its midfielder Martin Odegaard was excluded from the Norway squad due to a knee ligament injury."
Odegaard suffered a bruise during his team's 2-0 win over West Ham United in the Premier League last Saturday, and despite his attempt to continue playing, he was eventually replaced by Martin Zubimendi after 30 minutes.
The player (26 years old) will miss Norway's 2026 World Cup qualifier against Israel next Saturday, as well as its friendly match against New Zealand on the current 14th of October.
Arsenal stated in a press release that Odegaard suffered "an injury to the lateral ligament of his left knee.
"Martin will continue to undergo assessment and treatment by our medical team during the international break with the aim of returning to the field as soon as possible."
Odegaard's season has been severely affected by injuries, as the international midfielder was injured in his shoulder against Leeds United last August and that injury recurred against Nottingham Forest last month.
