Khaberni - U.S. President Donald Trump threatened today, Monday, to strike Iran again if it rebuilds its nuclear program, asserting that Iran’s nuclear capabilities have been destroyed.
Trump told reporters as he left the White House, "We destroyed Iran’s nuclear program and I hope they do not start to rebuild it again because we will have to deal with that."
The American president added, "We will make sure not to wait too long if Iran starts rebuilding its nuclear program," indicating a new military action against Tehran.
In June last year, over a span of 12 days, Israel targeted nuclear facilities and military and civilian sites, assassinated senior military leaders including the commander of the Revolutionary Guard and the chief of staff, as well as prominent nuclear scientists, and Iran responded with a series of missile attacks that caused unprecedented destruction in several Israeli cities.
Concurrently with the Israeli attack, the United States bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities, and the U.S. president spoke of completely destroying the Iranian nuclear program, but intelligence assessments issued from Washington cast doubts on that.
