Jordan Extension of the Period for Submitting Applications for Ownership of Housing Fund Lands for Teachers

Khaberni - The Ministry of Education announced on Sunday the extension of the application period for land ownership for participants in the Housing Fund who are currently employed until October 20, on the occasion of Teacher's Day.

The Ministry invites those interested in applying to access the employee platform and submit their applications.

On its official page, on the occasion of World Teacher's Day, the Ministry of Education published the achievements in the package of decisions and measures launched by the government this year to support the status of teachers in appreciation for their pivotal role in building generations and shaping the future.

The Ministry stated that the latest achievements in this area include allocating 1039 land plots to support teachers at a price 50% lower than their original price, in coordination with the Housing and Urban Development Corporation, with the number of registrants to benefit from them reaching 132 teachers by the beginning of this month.

It referred to the disbursement of emergency advances to all teachers who applied to the Education Guarantee Fund for the year 2025, totaling 11,213 teachers, with a total amount of about 12.644 million dinars, and doubling the accepted percentage in public universities for teachers' sons and daughters from 5% to 10%, with 3887 students benefiting for the academic year 2025/2026, compared to 2042 students in the previous academic year.

The measures taken by the government also included allocating 5% of the grants and loans provided by the University Student Support Fund for teachers' children, benefiting 2415 students at an estimated cost of 3.28 million dinars, in addition to supporting the Education Guarantee Fund with an amount of 4.5 million dinars.

The Ministry pointed out that it worked on maintaining teachers' clubs in the provinces, establishing a teachers' club in Jerash province and another in Madaba province, and doubling the number of beneficiaries from the Hajj mission from 60 to 120 teachers.

The Ministry affirmed that these decisions and measures came to enhance the pioneering status of education within national priorities, in response to economic challenges, and as a continuation of the journey to develop the educational sector, believing that investing in human capital, especially teachers, is a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable development.

The Ministry said that these government measures aim to improve the living conditions of teachers, enhance their job performance, promote their job and psychological stability, positively reflecting on the entire educational process and the quality of its outputs.
