Khaberni - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing, through the Directorate of Public Works of Ma'an Governorate, has completed the maintenance works on the Al-Jafr – Al-Husainiya road, 20 days before the contractual period was due to end, at a total cost amounting to 175,000 dinars, with central funding from the ministry's budget.
The maintenance works included repairing the damaged parts of the road by milling and paving using hot mix asphalt, in addition to executing road marking using thermoplastic paint, for a distance of 3 kilometers starting from the air base in Al-Jafr towards the Al-Husainiya area.
The project's works also included the installation of necessary warning and guiding signs along the road, where the Directorate of Traffic Safety in the ministry manufactured and installed these signs according to approved technical specifications, to enhance safety on the road and reduce traffic accidents.
This project is part of the continuous efforts of the Ministry of Public Works to maintain and sustain the road network across various governorates of the kingdom, through central allocations that are earmarked annually to ensure the sustainability of the infrastructure and enhance its efficiency. These projects contribute to improving the level of traffic safety, facilitating the movement of citizens and vehicles, and supporting economic and social development in the targeted areas.
According to the Directorate of Public Works of Ma'an, the project was completed 20 days before the contract term ended, reflecting the efficiency of execution and the commitment to deliver projects within the specified time and with high quality.
