Khaberni - The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, quoting (unnamed) sources, said today, Sunday, that the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has reservations about the withdrawal map proposed by US President Donald Trump as part of his plan to stop the war in the Gaza Strip.
The Corporation explained that the reservations about the withdrawal map are one of the points of contention that will be presented in the Cairo talks. They also noted that the issue of withdrawal lines is one of three central issues under dispute between Israel and Hamas.
It also mentioned that the disagreements include the gradual disarmament of Hamas and linking the movement's release of prisoners to additional conditions.
It continued: Israeli assessments expect that Trump will adhere to his plan and will not link the release of prisoners to any other course.
On Saturday evening, it announced that it would host indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas on the upcoming Monday, in order to reach a deal that ends the war on the Gaza Strip under US President Donald Trump's plan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that as part of Egypt's ongoing efforts coordinated with mediators aimed at ending the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip, Egypt will host delegations from Israel and Hamas on October 6, 2025, to discuss creating field conditions and details of the process to exchange all detained Israelis and Palestinian prisoners according to US President Donald Trump's proposal, hoping to end the war and stop the suffering of the Palestinian people, which has lasted for two consecutive years.
It pointed out that these consultations come within the framework of efforts to build on the regional and international momentum achieved after presenting Trump's plan to stop the war in the Gaza Strip.
In context, the US President’s envoy to the Middle East, Steve Whitkov, and his son-in-law Jared Kushner, travel to Egypt today to help finalize the details of the war-ending plan on Gaza; according to a White House official.
The official, who chose to remain anonymous, said that Kushner and Whitkov are visiting Egypt to finalize the details of the release process.
Qatar and Egypt, mediating the indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas, welcomed the latter's response to Trump's plan to end the war on Gaza, confirming their readiness to mediate to complete discussions about the plan to guarantee the end of the war.
The plan, endorsed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, includes a ceasefire and the release of all detainees held in the sector within 72 hours, the disarmament of Hamas, and a gradual Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, followed by the formation of a transitional authority headed by Trump.
The plan consists of twenty clauses, also including the exit of its fighters and leaders from the strip to other countries, and the management of Gaza by a Palestinian committee of technocrats and international experts, overseen by a council chaired by Trump himself, and among its members, the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
