Khaberni - Sponsored and supervised by the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund under the leadership of the engineer Belqasim Khalifa Haftar, the General Manager of the Fund, the city of Benghazi is getting ready for an exceptional sports event represented by the launch of the “Reconstruction Cup – FDRL Cup”, where Benghazi International Stadium will host the opening match on Friday, October 10, 2025, between the giants of Italian football, Inter Milan, and the Spanish club Atlético Madrid, in a historic friendly encounter considered one of the most prominent matches that Libyan stadiums will witness.
The official signing for this major event took place last week under the directions and supervision of engineer Belqasim Khalifa Haftar, where Dr. Aqila Al-Abbar, the Manager of International Cooperation at the Fund, signed two official agreements: the first in Milan with the first team of Italian club Inter Milan, and the second in Madrid with the first team of Spanish club Atlético Madrid, facilitating the confirmation of both teams' participation in this historic match.
