Palantir Utilizes Artificial Intelligence for Genocide in Gaza

Khaberni - Mentioned in international and UN reports, activists on social media and demonstrators describe it as "a secretive large American spy technology company that serves Trump and his project", as it has been listed by international and UN reports in a list that includes 15 global companies, involved in supporting the Israeli occupation crimes against Palestinians in Gaza Strip.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement records reveal that "Palantir," recently obtained a $30 million contract to build a platform to track movements of migrants in the United States and to create a main database to expedite deportation processes.

Due to its cooperation with the administration of American President Donald Trump, and after signing contracts with the American military, Palantir's market value significantly increased after strong financial performance in the second quarter of 2025, where its profits and revenues greatly exceeded Wall Street expectations.

Developing Surveillance Tools
"Palantir" was founded for data analysis by Peter Thiel, Alex Karp, and three others after the September 11, 2001 attacks.

The nature of the company's work has always been under scrutiny due to the surveillance tools it manufactures, which were developed following the September 11 attacks, automating the work previously done manually by American intelligence officers.

Peter Thiel, the chairman of Palantir's board of directors, is a German-American billionaire who made his fortune through "Facebook", and he also co-founded "PayPal". Known as a right-wing individual who despises democracy and women's rights, he is a friend of billionaire Elon Musk, a supporter of Donald Trump, and has a strong influence on Vice President J.D. Vance.

Alex Karp is an American Jewish businessman who started his career by investing in startups and stocks. His net worth is expected to exceed $12 billion this year, making him among the top 300 wealthiest people in the world, according to "Forbes" magazine.

Huge Contracts
The company received a strong boost from President Donald Trump's campaign to enhance government efficiency, awarding the American military a contract worth $10 billion over the next decade, solidifying the company's position as a key "data analyst" for the military.

The company is rising rapidly in Washington, having signed new contracts with 7 federal agencies.

With increasing threats and American military engagements, from the war in Ukraine to the escalating tensions between China and Taiwan, the Pentagon has prioritized enhancing its capabilities in data extraction and the use of artificial intelligence in wars.

Palantir stands out in this context with an application that allows linking information about a person from various different sources, whether personal information such as phone numbers and calls or official information like those related to health insurance, universities, or police, and even traffic violations. Thanks to this information, the application predicts the actions of that person using artificial intelligence.

The application is described as a tool for spying on individuals, and the company has sold it to several countries including Israel, and was the focus of investigations that showed it was used to spy on several celebrities including former German Chancellor Angela Merkel and former French President François Hollande and some opponents in Arab countries.

Supporting "Genocide Economy"
Palantir's stance on Gaza has been openly acknowledged by the company's leaders; CEO Alexander Karp has made several remarks about the Gaza war, openly supporting the Israeli occupation, stating that Palantir participated in "crucial operations in Israel", strongly condemned the pro-Palestinian protests at American universities, and mentioned that protesters should be sent to North Korea. Palantir also announced the allocation of 180 jobs for Jewish university graduates.

In October 2023, the company published a full-page ad in The New York Times, stating "Palantir supports Israel".

The Israeli military uses the AI program produced by the company to bomb targets in Gaza, and it is also used by the Israeli Ministry of Defense to analyze footage from drones.

Palantir provided military and surveillance technology supported by artificial intelligence to the Israelis in their war on Gaza. These capabilities include providing the Israeli military and intelligence agencies with the necessary data to launch missiles at specific targets in Gaza, whether inside homes or in moving vehicles.

In September last year, Bloomberg reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a meeting in New York during his attendance at the United Nations General Assembly meetings with a group of American investors and technology company managers, to discuss the future of artificial intelligence and its impact on Israel's economy and security.

Among the participants in the meeting was Peter Thiel, chairman of the board of Palantir. The discussion focused on how the rapid development of artificial intelligence can be leveraged to boost Israel's economy and maintain its technological superiority in defense.

Company Boycott
Despite the keen interest from many countries and security and military entities in its programs, Palantir faces a boycott from other entities. Last year, the Norwegian asset management company Storebrand, one of the largest investors in the Nordic region, abandoned Palantir due to its work with the Israeli occupation.

Storebrand noted that their analysis indicated that the company provides products and services "including predictive police systems based on artificial intelligence" that support Israeli surveillance of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, and added that, according to the United Nations, the occupation authorities have a history of detaining Palestinians without charge or trial.

According to the American Friends Service Committee, Palantir is one of dozens of companies "benefiting from the genocide in Gaza".

Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, highlighted the complicity of hundreds of major global companies in supporting what she described as the "genocide economy" in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Palantir.

Albanese noted that Palantir's cooperation with the Israeli occupation dates back years, but escalated after October 2023, considering that the company's continued support for the occupation despite evidence of possible violations amounts to "complicity in international crimes".
