Khaberni - Bitcoin, the world's largest cryptocurrency by market value, reached an all-time high on Sunday, rising about 2.68% to $125,245.57 by 0512 GMT.
Bitcoin's previous record high was $124,480 in mid-August, supported by President Donald Trump's administration easing regulatory rules, in addition to strong demand from investors.
The cryptocurrency rose for the eighth consecutive session on Friday, buoyed by recent gains in U.S. stocks and capital inflows into Bitcoin exchange-traded funds.
Conversely, the dollar declined on Friday, recording losses over several weeks against major currencies amid the uncertainty caused by the U.S. government shutdown, which clouds the outlook and delays the issuance of important data like employment figures, a key indicator for gauging the direction of the economy.
