Khaberni - The Dubai Police General Command, represented by the General Department for Drug Control, has successfully thwarted the plan of an Asian criminal gang led by a man from outside the country, using a villa as their base to promote their poisons in the society. They arrested two of its members and seized 40 kilograms of ketamine, crystal meth, marijuana, and hash oil, along with other chemical substances and liquids.
Brigadier Khaled bin Muwiza, Director of the General Department for Drug Control at Dubai Police, confirmed that Operation "The Villa" is part of the ongoing and continuous efforts by the Dubai Police General Command to combat and thwart the plans of drug dealers, promoters, and smugglers who aim to spread their poisons among the youth. He noted that the operation was successful after implementing a tight security plan to track the movements of the suspects promoting drugs from inside the villa.
Arrest of the first one
In detail, Brigadier Khaled bin Muwiza explained that the General Department for Drug Control received information about a criminal group promoting drugs from one of the villas. After confirming the information, a task force conducted extensive and tight research, investigation, and field surveillance, during which the movements of one of the gang members and their methods of hiding and deception were monitored.
Brigadier Khaled bin Muwiza mentioned that the drug control task force lured the gang member and arrested him, and he confessed to his other partner in the drug promotion operation.
Arrest of the second one caught red-handed
He added: We prepared a tight ambush for the other member and managed to arrest him caught red-handed while he was packing the drugs, where he admitted that they were working with the gang leader who manages them from outside the country for trafficking, promoting, and harming the society.
Brigadier Khaled bin Muwiza indicated that the capture of the suspects and thwarting the gang’s plan is evidence of the advanced work system that Dubai Police enjoy, equipped with artificial intelligence technologies, and qualified and specialized human resources that are efficient and professional in detecting crime and combating it in all its forms. He noted that Dubai Police will strike with an iron hand anyone who dares to tamper with community security and will sever the ties of criminals and drug dealers even if they were outside the country.
The Director of the General Department for Drug Control urged the public to report any suspicious practices, behaviors, or messages they receive, by contacting the call center 901, or through the "Police Eye" service on the smart Dubai Police app.
