Khaberni - The Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. Obaidullah Al-Maaytah, met today, Saturday, at the directorate's building with the head of the Parliamentary Bloc of the National Covenant Party, Deputy Dr. Ibrahim Al-Tarawneh, along with several members of the bloc.
During the meeting, Major General Al-Maaytah emphasized the importance of the cooperative relationship that links the Public Security Directorate with the Parliament, pointing to the Directorate’s commitment to maintain communication and cooperation channels with the Parliament and all its committees and blocs, contributing to serving the nation and its citizens, and enhancing the security and stability system.
The Director of Public Security stated that the royal directives form a fundamental basis for the operations of the Public Security Directorate, directing to optimize the use of resources and capabilities within an integrated security system that focuses on protecting people and serving them according to the highest standards.
The head of the bloc and its members listened to a briefing presented by the Director of Planning and International Cooperation, which covered the main security strategies employed by the Public Security Directorate, and future plans aimed at enhancing field capabilities and improving the quality of the security and humanitarian services provided to the citizens.
For his part, Dr. Al-Tarawneh appreciated the significant efforts made by the Public Security Directorate in maintaining the security and safety of citizens, combating crime in all its forms, and providing quality humanitarian and community services that enhance the citizens' trust in the Public Security Directorate.
Members of the bloc also presented interventions and inquiries addressing aspects of the directorate's work and public affairs, emphasizing the importance of partnership between the executive and legislative authorities to develop legislation and laws that serve the citizens and achieve the supreme national interest.
