5612 billion dinars of Omans industry exports in 9 months

Khaberni - Oman Industry Chamber's exports increased by 15.7 percent during the past nine months of this year, compared to the same period last year, enabling it to maintain its upward trajectory since the beginning of 2025.

Statistical data issued by the chamber showed an increase in Oman's industry exports based on the certificates of origin issued, during the past nine months of this year, to 5.612 billion dinars compared to 4.849 billion dinars for the same period last year.

Eight sub-sectors recorded an increase in their exports during the past nine months of this year, with percentages ranging between 55.1 percent for construction industries, and 23.2 percent for supply, food, agricultural, and animal wealth industries.

On the other hand, exports of the wood products and furniture sectors decreased by 10.6 percent, and packaging, paper, cardboard, and office supplies by 2.2 percent.

Four Arab and foreign countries accounted for more than half of the chamber's exports during the past months of this year, namely India, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq, recording a value of 3.152 billion dinars.

Exports from the chamber to India increased by 29.4 percent, reaching nearly 890 million dinars, compared to 687 million dinars for the same period last year.

Statistical data showed an increase in the chamber's exports to Saudi Arabia during the past nine months of this year by 7.7 percent, recording a value of 636 million dinars, compared to 590 million dinars for the same period last year.

Conversely, exports from the chamber to Iraq slightly decreased by 1.3 percent, dropping to 693 million dinars, compared to 702 million dinars for the same period last year.

Exports from the chamber to the United States during the past nine months of this year decreased by 6.5 percent, registering 938 million dinars, compared to 1.003 billion dinars for the same period last year, but it remained at the forefront of Arab and foreign countries most receptive to Oman's industry exports.

Statistical data showed an increase in Oman's industry exports to Syria during the past nine months of this year by 464.6 percent, reaching 283 million dinars compared to 50 million dinars for the same period from the previous year, 2024.

According to the geographical distribution of the chamber's exports during the past nine months of the current year 2025, Arab countries were at the forefront with a value of 2.651 billion dinars, non-Arab Asian countries 1.251 billion dinars, and North American countries 973 million dinars.

Oman's industry exports to European Union countries during the past nine months of this year amounted to 361 million dinars and to non-EU European countries 187 million dinars, African countries 99 million dinars, South American countries about 52 million dinars, and other countries 37 million dinars.

The chamber's exports during the past nine months of this year were distributed among mining industries with a value of 1.367 billion dinars, chemicals and cosmetics one billion dinars and engineering, electrical, and information technology 902 million dinars.

Exports of the food, agricultural, and animal wealth industries amounted to about 723 million dinars, therapeutic and medical supplies 552 million dinars, and leather and textiles 473 million dinars.

The rest of the chamber's exports were distributed among the plastics and rubber industries worth 235 million dinars, packaging, paper, cardboard, and office supplies 199 million dinars, construction 146 million dinars, and wood products and furniture worth 14 million dinars.

It is noteworthy that the Oman Industry Chamber, established in 1962 and currently comprising 8600 industrial establishments, employs 159 thousand workers with a capital amounting to nearly 5 billion dinars.
