Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jordan Ready to Resume Aid Entry to Gaza Once Israeli Restrictions Are Lifted

Khaberni - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs confirmed on Saturday Jordan’s readiness to resume the entry of aid to Gaza immediately upon the removal of Israeli restrictions, following Hamas's positive response to President Donald Trump’s proposal to end the war on the Gaza Strip.

The official spokesman for the ministry, Fouad Al-Majali, emphasized in a statement on ensuring the safe delivery of aid in accordance with international law and humanitarian international law.

Al-Majali stressed the need to immediately stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza, open the crossings for the introduction of sufficient, immediate and sustainable humanitarian aid throughout the sector, and launch a true effort to achieve just peace based on the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs welcomed on Saturday the positive response from Hamas to the proposal of U.S. President Donald Trump for ending the war on the Gaza Strip, considering it an important step towards ending the war and its catastrophic consequences.

The ministry also welcomed President Trump's statements calling for an immediate ceasefire, to facilitate the completion of a prisoner exchange deal within the framework set forth in the president's proposal and agreed upon by Hamas, ultimately stopping the shedding of Palestinian blood in Gaza.
