Khaberni - Hebrew Channel 12 reported today, Saturday, that in preparation for accelerating negotiations with Hamas, Israeli security officials are preparing a list of Palestinian prisoners to be released.
Channel 12 stated that the political challenge lies in the fact that Israel had planned these negotiations to conclude the agreement under the pressure of bombing, noting that by evening, we will know the reaction of ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich to the decision to stop the occupation operation of the Gaza Strip now.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that a joint team from the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), the Israeli Army, and Mossad is currently working on compiling a list of Palestinian prisoners who can be released upon the hostages' release.
President Donald Trump’s initiative included 250 life prisoners, meaning that only a few dozen lifers would remain in prison.
At the same time, specialized teams are working on drafting precise withdrawal maps, based on Trump's plan, which will be presented during these negotiations.
Hebrew media outlets reported early this morning, Saturday, that actual fighting in Gaza had stopped last night by orders from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Israeli military spokesperson stated that the Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, held a special meeting to assess the situation overnight in light of developments.
The spokesperson said, "Based on the directives of the political leadership, the Chief of Staff issued his instructions to enhance readiness to implement the first phase of Trump's plan for the release of the hostages.
Netanyahu's office announced that, in light of the response from Hamas, Tel Aviv is preparing to execute the first phase of Trump's plan for the immediate release of all prisoners.
The office added: "We will continue to work in full cooperation with President Trump and his team to end the war in line with the principles set by Israel and consistent with President Trump's vision."
Hamas announced on Friday evening that it had delivered its response to President Donald Trump's plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip to the mediators.
Hamas also renewed its approval to hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian authority of independents (technocrats) based on Palestinian national consensus and supported by Arab and Islamic backing.
President Trump, in his response to Hamas's decision to accept his proposal to stop the war in Gaza, declared that the movement is ready for lasting peace. And Israel must stop bombing Gaza immediately.
