Khaberni - Artist Jannat expressed her regret over several decisions she made in her personal and artistic life, confirming that if time turned back, she would take different paths in some matters.
Jannat said she regretted not marrying early, especially her current husband Mohamed Osman, stating, "I blame myself for not marrying early, especially Mohamed, if we had gotten together earlier, our children Gini and Juli would be older now."
She added that it took her four years to decide to marry him, even though he was clear from the beginning about his intention to engage, pointing out that her busy work schedule prevented that: "I was working continuously, with performances and travel almost every day, so my life at that time was not suitable for marriage."
She also revealed her fears about the idea of engagement, which stemmed from hearing about men who do not accept their wives’ successes, stating, "It's rare to find someone who understands the difference between your work and your private life, and between a fan and a colleague."
In another context, Jannat expressed regret over her look at her wedding, saying: "The look I regretted the most was on my wedding day, till now I do not watch the pictures or video, I regretted it deeply, and since that day I never repeated that color."
She clarified that despite others liking her appearance, she didn’t feel comfortable with her look, considering that what distinguishes her is simplicity and being close to her nature: "If time turned back, I would have kept my hair its natural color," she said.
On the artistic front, Jannat confirmed that she regretted not trying acting although she received several offers, saying: "I was hesitant and unclear, attended rehearsals and then withdrew, which made me wrong big directors."
She also apologized to a prominent director whose name she refused to mention, saying, "To the great, grand director, whom everyone wishes to work with, I am very sorry, and if time turned back, I would have accepted the role even if I did not perform it perfectly."
She also touched on her regret for rejecting two prominent songs, "Sorry" later performed by Assala and achieving wide success, and "Meshet Khalas" sung by Wael Jassar, noting that she was eighteen when the first song was offered and felt it was too mature for her at the time, confirming that Assala was better suited for it.
About Wael Jassar's song, she said: "He sang it perfectly, and its success continues to this day, and I am ready to sing it with him on stage at any time."
