Khaberni - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs is monitoring the situation of the Jordanians who were on board the global Steadfastness Fleet.
The official spokesperson of the ministry, Fuad Al-Majali, stated that the acting Jordanian ambassador in Tel Aviv visited today the Jordanian nationals at the location where the Israeli authorities gathered the fleet’s passengers. He assured their well-being as they are in good health. He also visited nationals of brotherly nations who submitted requests to the ministry to follow up on the status of their citizens: the State of Kuwait, and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, assuring that they too are in good health.
Al-Majali reiterated that through the Operations Directorate, the Consular Affairs, and the Jordanian embassy in Tel Aviv, the ministry will continue taking the necessary measures to ensure the safety of Jordanian nationals and the respect of their rights, and to facilitate their return to Jordan as soon as possible. It will also continue to provide any possible and necessary assistance to the nationals of the brotherly states.
Al-Majali affirmed that the ministry holds Israel responsible for the safety of the Jordanian nationals on board the fleet, emphasizing the necessity for Israeli authorities to respect their legal rights and ensure their safe return to the kingdom.
