Khaberni - Yusuf Hassan Al-Issawi, the head of the Royal Hashemite Court and the chairman of the committee overseeing the implementation of His Majesty's initiatives, continues his inspection tours of the royal initiative projects in various governorates of the kingdom. Today, Thursday, he inspected the workflow in several developmental projects in the Balqa and Karak governorates.
Al-Issawi started his tour with a visit to Al-Manar Center for Intellectual Development in the Karama area of Al-Shuna Al-Janubiyya district, accompanied by the Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa and the commissioner of Al-Shuna Al-Janubiyya, Dr. Saqr Al-Darawsheh. He toured the project facilities, inspected the workflow and the stages of completion that have achieved an 80 percent completion rate.
He listened to a briefing from those in charge of the project about the programs and services the center will offer for the care and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities.
The establishment of the center follows the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II after meeting with the notables of the Balqa governorate.
In the Ghor Al-Safi area in Karak governorate, Al-Issawi, accompanied by the governor of Karak, Qabalan Al-Sharif, the executive director of Zaha Cultural Center, Rania Sobh, and the chairman of the South Ghor Municipal Committee, Engineer Abdel Hamid Al-Maaytah, inspected the Zaha Cultural Center in Ghor Al-Safi. He toured the facilities of the center and listened to a detailed briefing from the staff about the training programs, services, and activities provided to the local community.
The center was established in 2022 with support from the United Nations Human Settlements Programme and urban development. It is part of an initiative to establish branches of Zaha Cultural Centers in the governorates, which offer free programs aimed at developing the skills of children and youth, enhancing their capabilities, and harnessing their potential, in addition to initiatives for economically empowering women, such as the “Business Owners” program, in partnership with the International Labour Organization, which aims at developing small businesses generating income.
In Ghor Fifa in Karak governorate, Al-Issawi concluded his tour by inspecting the construction work on a project to build 20 residential units, where the completion rate reached 65 percent.
Al-Issawi, along with Minister Bani Mustafa, Governor Al-Sharif, and Engineer Al-Maaytah, toured the project, which is implemented using precast concrete systems. He listened to a technical briefing on the progress of the work and the stages of completion.
The project is part of a package of royal initiatives announced including the construction of 1,300 housing units in the governorates and rural areas under the modest families housing initiative, with 100 housing units allocated to Karak governorate, including 20 units in Ghor Fifa area.
During the tour, Al-Issawi emphasized that the royal initiatives embody the visions of His Majesty the King in meeting the needs of citizens, requirements of development, and transforming them into tangible achievements on the ground, which aims to enhance the quality of services provided to the citizens, and providing a safe and integrated environment for children, youth, and women to build their capacities and exploit their energies.
Al-Issawi stressed the importance of adhering to the scheduled timelines for the projects under implementation to ensure their completion on the specified date to begin offering their services to the targeted groups without any delay.
He emphasized that diligent monitoring of the implementation of these projects, as well as their operational performance post-inauguration, will remain a fixed approach to ensure providing high-efficiency and sustainable services.
This inspection tour complements the continuous field tours to inspect projects of the royal initiatives in various governorates of the kingdom, the latest of which was last week in Mafraq governorate, where Al-Issawi, last Thursday, inspected royal initiative projects in the areas of Bal'ama, Al-Khalidiya, and Mghayyir Al Sarhan.
