Khaberni - A shocking incident was witnessed in Kansas City, US, during a music concert where a 14-year-old teenager brutally assaulted a 66-year-old hall guide, in an incident that caused widespread uproar across social networks.
According to the British newspaper "Daily Mail", the victim, Thomas Schlang, who has worked at the venue for many years, had asked the teenager to sit in his assigned seat before he was subjected to a violent attack. The teenager pushed him to the ground and rained punches on him in front of the attendees.
The police charged the teenager with "felonious assault" and another related assault charge, while officials emphasized that the hearing sessions in the case would not be public, in compliance with Missouri state laws regarding juvenile offenders.
The victim expressed relief at the charges being made, stating that "accountability is important," describing what happened as "sad and regrettable," and noted that he still suffers from head injuries and psychological disorders as a result of the incident.
On his part, Schlang's grandson launched an online fundraising campaign to help with treatment costs and compensate for his time out of work, as the published photos showed his swollen face and the bruises he suffered.
The local pastor, Robert McDaniel, documented the assault scene, stating that the teenager "lost control of himself," while another person called Antonio Claiter, the only one who intervened to stop the attack, said the teenager seemed "completely out of his mind."
