Khaberni - Demonstrations have taken place in several European cities denouncing the interception by the Israeli naval forces of the Steadfastness Fleet headed to the Gaza Strip and diverting some of its ships to the Israeli port of Ashdod.
Immediately after the announcement of the interception by the Israeli naval forces of the Steadfastness Fleet carrying humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip, a protest erupted in the Italian capital, Rome, protesting against the interception.
Another protest took place in the Belgian capital Brussels condemning the interception by Israel of the Steadfastness Fleet and the seizure of a number of ships and the arrest of activists onboard.
Nighttime demonstrations also took place in a number of European cities denouncing Israel's abduction of fleet ships carrying relief materials towards Gaza, notably in Barcelona, Istanbul, Berlin, Athens, and Paris.
Earlier, sources reported that Israeli naval forces intercepted 4 ships out of 44 participating in the "Global Fleet of Steadfastness" to break the siege on Gaza after they attacked two ships and arrested those on board, while participants were arrested.
The sources said that the ships intercepted by the Israeli navy were carrying dozens of activists, and ordered the fleet to change its course towards the port of Ashdod.
Meanwhile, Israel's Channel 13 reported that the navy has so far controlled 6 ships in the Fleet of Steadfastness. The channel also sourced that the control operation on the Fleet of Steadfastness will continue till tomorrow, Thursday.
