Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality announced the completion of the construction of Al-Muhammadiyah intersection at the junction of Al-Muhammadiyah streets with Al-Bakoura, Munir Noor, and Suda bint Zamaa, as part of its ongoing efforts to develop traffic infrastructure and improve the flow of traffic in the capital.
The project aims to enhance the efficiency of the road network in the area, relieve traffic congestion on vital streets, in addition to promoting traffic safety standards, and facilitating citizens' access to residential neighborhoods and adjacent service facilities.
The Director of Traffic Operations at the Municipality, Engineer Shadi Al-Rawabdeh, stated that the construction of the new intersection includes the installation of modern traffic lights to prioritize road users and organize traffic flow, which ensures improved traffic movement and significantly reduces congestion.
Al-Rawabdeh added that the municipality is implementing this project in response to the increasing traffic needs in the area, and as part of its comprehensive plan to execute quality projects that contribute to reducing congestions and improving the quality of life within the city.
The municipality confirmed that the works will be carried out according to a studied timetable, taking necessary measures to minimize their impact on daily movement, in coordination with the Traffic Management and its field staff, to ensure that work proceeds with high efficiency. It also noted that the traffic light will be operational on the morning of the upcoming Friday.
