Khaberni - Last week, the spokesperson for the Turkish Ministry of Defense, Zaki Akturk, accused the "Syrian Democratic Forces" (SDF) of not adhering to the agreements reached with Damascus. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan commented on what would happen if diplomatic efforts fail to implement the integration agreement.
"We will not repeat the experience"
Erdogan emphasized today, Wednesday, that his country will not allow the fragmentation of Syria or any harm to its territorial integrity.
The Turkish President said at an event marking the resumption of Parliament's activities, "We have used all diplomatic channels to maintain the territorial integrity of Syria and prevent the formation of a terrorist entity on our borders. We continue to use these channels with patience, dedication, and wisdom."
He added, "If diplomatic initiatives are left unanswered, then Turkey's policy and stance are clear. Turkey will not allow the experience to be repeated in Syria."
This followed accusations by the spokesman for the Turkish Ministry of Defense, Zaki Akturk, last week that the "Syrian Democratic Forces" (SDF) had not complied with the agreements made with Damascus.
In response, a senior Kurdish official asserted that the "SDF" poses no threat to Turkey.
Badran Jia Kurd, the deputy of the "Joint Presidency of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria for Political Affairs," criticized Turkey's role in the Syrian crisis, stating that "Ankara is trying to export its internal crises and conflicts around issues of peace and internal dialogue to the Syrian interior."
Speaking to "Al Arabiya/Al Hadath.net," he stressed that "the regions of North and East Syria pose no threat whatsoever to any neighboring state."
Threat of military action
It is noted that on March 10th, Al Sharia and the leader of the "SDF" signed an agreement in the Syrian capital, which stipulated the integration of these forces into the army, recognizing the rights of all diverse components of the country. However, obstacles have hindered the implementation of this agreement so far.
