Khaberni - The Public Safety Committee in Madaba Governorate destroyed 40 containers of olive oil and quantities of supplies unfit for human consumption, according to Ibrahim Al-Wahsh, the committee Chairman and the Governor's Assistant for Public Safety.
Al-Wahsh stated that the destruction was carried out in the presence of committee members from the Food and Drug Administration and the Municipality of Madaba and the Joint Services Council, according to legal procedures and regulations.
He added that the destruction process was part of ongoing efforts to enhance market surveillance and protect public health by ensuring the quality of food products displayed and dealing immediately with violations.
He affirmed that the committee will continue to conduct surveillance rounds and take necessary actions against violators, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between different regulatory bodies to ensure the safety of food materials in local markets.
