Report Israel trains Chat GPT to adopt its narratives

Khaberni - The American website "Responsible Statecraft" reported that the Israeli government has signed a $6 million contract with the American company "Clock Tower" to produce media content aimed at influencing artificial intelligence models such as Chat GPT to adopt narratives more biased towards Israel.

The website, affiliated with the Quincy Institute for Research, explained that at least 80% of the content produced by the company will be dedicated to the youth audience of Generation Z on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and podcasts, and other digital media aiming to achieve at least 50 million views monthly.

Clock Tower will use the "Market Pro" artificial intelligence platform, specialized in directing search engines, to raise the ranking and spread of narratives supportive of Israel in search results on engines like Google and Bing.

The company will also integrate messages biased towards Israel in networks and programs of the "Salem" group, a Christian media network that produces popular shows like "Hugh Hewitt," "Larry Elder," and "The Right View" hosted by Lara Trump, the wife of the son of former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Here, the name Brad Parscale emerges, who leads Clock Tower and also holds the position of Chief Strategist at Salem Group. Parscale was the manager of Trump's 2016 campaign and was associated with the controversial "Cambridge Analytica" firm for influencing voters.

This media effort targets a segment of the American public that shows a clear decline in support for Israel, as a poll conducted by Gallup in July showed that only 9% of Americans aged 18 to 34 support the Israeli war on Gaza. Other polls also show a general decline in the positive view towards Israel.

At a meeting with pro-Israeli influencers last Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu - wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes in Gaza - stated that social media has become the most vital weapon in Israel's arsenal, saying: "We must use the tools of battle, as weapons change over time... You cannot fight with swords today, that's no longer effective… The most important weapons now are social media."
