Fire at Heathrow Airport Causes Partial Travel Disruption

Khaberni - A fire broke out on Wednesday morning in a car inside the multi-storey car park of building number 3 at Heathrow Airport in London, which necessitated the intervention of about 25 firefighters and four vehicles to manage the flames.

Videos showed intense flames and grey smoke rising from the site, leading to the closure of a tunnel leading to terminals 2 and 3, causing traffic congestion and disrupting travelers' movement.

The National Highways Authority urged travelers to use alternative exits, and taxi drivers issued warnings via social media advising travelers to reschedule their journeys due to difficulties accessing the terminals.

Heathrow Airport management confirmed that the fire was "quickly brought under control" and that the affected car park would remain temporarily closed, apologizing to passengers for any inconvenience, and noting that the rest of the car parks at the airport are operating normally.
