Important Tips for Preserving the Lifespan of Your Mobile Phone

Khaberni - The American "New York Times" published a report outlining practical steps to reduce clutter on mobile devices and clean up unnecessary files that consume storage space, especially excess photos, apps, and unread emails.

The report notes that preventing storage space from filling up helps the phone work for the longest possible period without affecting its speed or performance.

Courage

The newspaper emphasizes that one of the most important steps is to have courage, as the content of our phones should be limited to essentials only. In this context, it is necessary to ensure that backups of important files are available on an external disk, and also to make sure that there is enough space in the cloud where the photos and files are stored.

Cleaning Photos

The report also advises regularly cleaning the photo library, by searching daily (or when remembered) for a specific date in the library, then deleting all unnecessary photos associated with that date.

Messages

While deleting photos is important, another element that sometimes consumes a lot of space is the messages themselves, including GIFs, videos, and photos sent over the past five years.

To reduce these files on iOS devices, the report advises going to: Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Messages > Review Large Attachments, then viewing old files and deleting most of them, as I personally regained about 25 gigabytes.

Deleting Apps

As for apps, you can view them all at once and delete the unnecessary ones via: Settings > General > iPhone Storage, where you can see the large apps and easily delete them.

Mailbox

As for cleaning the email inbox, the newspaper recommends going to Gmail, moving to "All Mail", then selecting all messages, choosing "Select all conversations", and finally marking them as read. You will then feel relief and full control over your email.
