Khaberni - Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, sponsored yesterday evening, September 30, 2025, at the Arena Theater, the university's celebration for the second day of its students' graduation for the 2024-2025 summer semester, from cohort (32) from the faculties: "Graduate Studies, Arts and Sciences, Educational Sciences, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Law, Business" in the presence of the Assistant President for Accreditation and Quality Affairs and Planning, Dr. Eyad Shaaban, deans, faculty members, a number of administrative staff, and a large crowd of graduating students' families and guests.
The ceremony began after the national anthem with a melodious recitation of the Holy Quran performed by student Adam Al-Hadidi from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
•Then, Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Mustafa Attiyat delivered the university's speech at the ceremony, where he welcomed the sponsor of the occasion, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of the university, members of the university's board of trustees, deans, academic and administrative staff, attendees, graduates, and their families, then said:
With great pride and honor, I welcome you to this exceptional day, a day where the suns of excellence shone, and the pillars of knowledge emerged from the womb of effort and perseverance to the sky of success.
A day we celebrate graduating an outstanding elite from the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Business, Faculty of Educational Sciences, and Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Today is not merely the end of an academic journey, but the birth of new leaders for the future, agents of change, and beacons of hope for this nation that we devote ourselves to with knowledge and action.
And he added: Respected attendees, from the heart of Jordan, from a university born of vision and insight, we celebrate today under the flag of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, which was never just an academic institution, but has always been a beacon shining with knowledge and excellence.
This university, founded by the late Dr. Ahmad Al-Hourani, may God bless his soul, believed that building nations starts with building minds. And today, the university continues its bright journey with a distinguished leadership that sees the future and believes that there are no limits to human ambition.
Then he said: Today, we honor Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, whose efforts and strategic vision have maintained the journey's brilliance and lit the candles of progress.
And we appreciate Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, president of the university, who leads this march with the determination of a leader, the vision of a scholar, and the care of a wise administrator, placing excellence and development at the forefront of his priorities.
Thanks to this unique leadership synergy, Al-Ahliyya Amman University has become a leader in innovation, a model of modernization, and an exemplary institution in the fields of science locally, regionally, and internationally.
And he continued, saying: In this bright moment of our university's history, we are pleased to share some of the achievements Al-Ahliyya Amman University has made in recent years, steadily advancing towards excellence and leadership.
• The university was ranked (770-761) globally according to the 2026 QS ranking and came in first place among private Jordanian universities, and third at the national level.
• It maintained its leadership in Hospitality Management for the second consecutive year,
• Achieved first place in Arts and Design,
• And third place in the field of Arts and Humanities.
In the 2025 Times World Ranking, the university ranked among the top (800-601) universities globally,
And in the 2026 University Impact Rankings, it made a significant leap by reaching the (200-101) category out of more than 2300 universities.
In the 2025 Asian Universities Ranking, it achieved the rank of 186 out of about 1200 universities,
And in the Times Arab ranking, it occupied the 28th position.
It also achieved first place among private Jordanian universities, and 16th among Arab universities according to the 2024 Arab Universities Association ranking.
And in the Webometrics ranking, it led private universities locally, and ranked 41st Arab-wide.
He added: In response to the directives of His Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, emphasizing the need to support technical and vocational education as a strategic pathway to reduce unemployment, the university established the College of Technical Education, which offers an intermediate diploma degree.
The university has received accreditation from the global "Pearson" institution as a certified center to offer international BTEC diploma programs in the following fields:
• Cinema and Television
•Interior Design
•Automotive Engineering
•Computing and Software Engineering
• Medical Device Technology "National Diploma"
Then he addressed the graduates, saying:
During your years of study, you have proven your ability to take responsibility and excel, and now you leave the university carrying knowledge, experience, and limitless ambition. You are the pride of this nation and the hope of its future. We must also extend our highest gratitude and appreciation to the parents, who were the support and strength at every moment, and the true partners in this achievement.
And we at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, as we celebrate today the graduation of a group of sons and daughters of this nation, renew our pledge of loyalty and belonging to our Hashemite leadership, and remember with pride and reverence the wisdom and sagacity of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein and his Crown Prince, His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, where we see our Jordan confidently moving towards the future, as great as we knew it, as strong as we want it, as dear as we love it.
May God help us all to serve our university and our nation, and may we remain as the nation wanted us to be... lamps of knowledge, banners of glory, and messengers of renaissance wherever and whenever.
* In the honoring segment, Dr. Mustafa Attiyat said: Today, we celebrate the honorable Professor Dr. Montaha Al-Ghraibeh, who presented a commendable model in developing the College of Nursing and contributed with her sincere efforts in achieving numerous international accreditations that elevated the college's status locally and internationally, along with her relentless work in developing graduate programs.
On this special day, we ask His Excellency Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, president of the university, to honor Professor Dr. Montaha Al-Ghraibeh, expressing our deepest appreciation and gratitude, for she truly deserves this recognition for her achievements and distinctive contributions.
•    Then, graduate student Leen Kokash from the Faculty of Law delivered the graduates' speech, where she welcomed the sponsor of the ceremony, the deans, the professors, attendees, and the graduates' families and said:
Today we stand on the threshold of a pivotal moment in our lives, where tears mingle with smiles, with the joy of arrival and the anxiety of departure. Today we raise our hats, not to announce goodbye, but to declare the beginning... the beginning of a long-awaited path. We bid farewell to our beloved university while holding onto the values, believing in the mission that we remain faithful to knowledge, loyal to the homeland.
Addressing the professors, she said: Our esteemed professors, how noble is the hand that plants the seed of knowledge, and how generous is the heart that patiently guides and teaches! You were the illuminating candles on our path of knowledge and wisdom. You taught us the meaning of diligence and hard work, and your contributions turned into firm roots that bear fruit in our lives as knowledge and action. Thanks to you, our university was not merely an educational institution, but a source of inspiration that shaped our vision of ourselves and the world, until we saw each hall as a dream, and each professor as a model.
And she added: Our fathers and mothers, this graduation is but a medal of thank you on your chests, so thank you for your support, your contributions, your sheltering shade that protected us, thank you for being the steadfast and unwavering support, the silent heroes.
Then she congratulated her fellow graduates and addressed them saying: In a moment when eyes overflow with words more than the mouth does. Let's remind ourselves: to safeguard what we have gained, to be faithful to knowledge, loyal sons and daughters to the homeland, to be ambassadors of a mission, guardians of a trust. Let's turn our dreams into reality, and let our future days, which will witness our successes, be proof that we were here, we were students at Al-Ahliyya Amman University.
•    Professor Dr. Mustafa Attiyat (Dean of Student Affairs) read the graduation statement, confirming that these students from various colleges for both bachelor's and master's degrees, included in today's ceremony, have completed the requirements to receive their deserved degrees, calling for the delivery of their certificates.
•    The ceremony was hosted by graduate student Abdullah Al-Badu from the Faculty of Business, who presented the segments of the ceremony with impactful words before each segment, which were well-received and appreciated by the attendees.
•    At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency the sponsor of the event, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, delivered the certificates to the graduates and the appreciation awards to the high achievers.
