Khaberni - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority said that its teams in the Internal Control Unit, the Directorate of Water Basins and Central Workshops, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior / Balqa Governorate, Public Security personnel, and the Gendarme Forces detected an illegal drilling rig in Al-Shuna Al-Janubiyya area, inside a farm in Al-Shuna Al-Janubiyya area damaging an illegal well as part of ongoing inspection campaigns to enforce control over water resources, implemented by the inspection teams of the control unit across all regions of the kingdom.
In detail, the Water Authority indicated that based on information from field teams, a security campaign was coordinated, teams were prepared, the site was raided, and the drilling rig was seized at the Directorate of Central Workshops affiliated with the Water Authority and organizing the records of the incident to complete the investigation and apply the law.
The Water Authority confirmed that its campaign continues to monitor and remove any infringements, expressing its gratitude for the constructive cooperation from the Governor of Balqa and the staff of the governorate, police of Balqa, and the Gendarme, supporting the water crews to enable them to perform their duties.
