Real Madrid received a tough defeat with a score of 5-2 against their host and rival Atletico Madrid, marking the first time in 75 years that the team conceded five goals against their capital city neighbor.
The newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Koke got into a confrontation with Vinicius during several moments of the match, as the pair collided more than once during play.
During one of the confrontations, Vinicius described his opponent Koke as "trivial and very complaining" to which the latter laughed, then the Brazilian accused the Atletico captain of leaking everything that is said on the field to the press.
The Spanish newspaper added: Vinicius told Koke, "You always talk to the press. Everything I say, you relay to the media."
The newspaper continued: The players verbally clashed again, leading to Lo Normand and Kylian Mbappe stepping in to separate them.
The report clarified: Koke took the moment to point to Mbappe, addressing Vinicius: "He is the best" to which the Brazilian confidently replied: "Of course, but he plays with me, and we will win more" whereupon Koke released his remark he had been holding back: "He will take the spotlight from you."
