Khaberni - American War Minister Pete Higseth announced that the Pentagon's new mission will be limited to carrying out combat operations, noting that securing peace begins with preparing for war.
Higseth said on Tuesday during a speech on the sidelines of a meeting with senior Pentagon leaders in Virginia: "Welcome to the Ministry of War, the era of the Ministry of Defense has passed.. The motto of my first faction 'He who desires peace must prepare for war'."
The minister emphasized "the necessity for the United States to prepare for war in defense of peace," noting that "the doctrine of non-violence is dangerous and naive."
He continued, saying: "As history teaches us, those who deserve peace are the only ones who wage war in defense of it."
Higseth also called for the necessity and need to quickly enhance the country's military capabilities and increase its forces and produce more drones, submarines, and space air forces.
Higseth added, referring to changes in Pentagon leadership: "For too long, a number of military leaders were promoted for the wrong reasons, based on their race or gender quotas or so-called historical priorities... The new compass direction is clear, departure of Chiarelli and McKenzie and Milley and entry of Stockdale, Schwarzkopf, and Patton."
He added: "It is absolutely unacceptable to see obese generals and admirals in the corridors of the Pentagon."
He continued: "We pretended that combat and non-combat weapons are the same thing, we completely ruled out so-called 'toxic' leaders under the guise of double-blinded psychological evaluations, we promoted adherence to rules, avoided risks, and sought consensus."
Earlier this month, President Donald announced the renaming of the U.S. Department of Defense to the Ministry of War, confirming that this reflects the situation in the world.
The decision obliges all agencies to recognize the new name, and adopt it in internal and external communications. Although Trump has repeatedly hinted at his desire to return to the name Ministry of War, this move has sparked debate about the reasons and motives behind it, the legal basis it relies on, and its implications and potential effects.
