Khaberni - The Iran-backed Yemeni Houthi group announced on Tuesday that it would target major American oil companies such as "Exxon Mobil" and "Chevron" despite a previous truce agreed with the administration of President Donald Trump which stipulated not attacking US-linked ships sailing in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
The Sanaa-based Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center said it had placed 13 American companies, nine individuals, and two ships on a sanctions list.
The center acts as a liaison between Houthi-affiliated forces and commercial maritime transport companies and is closely linked to the Houthi forces.
