Khaberni - The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, said that the education of children in Gaza must be "part of any agreement to end the Israeli war in the sector."
In a statement on the "X" platform on Tuesday, Lazzarini emphasized that the proposed plan must offer some hope for more than 660,000 children deprived of education for the third year, highlighting the necessity of making their return to learning a "collective priority to enhance peace and lasting stability."
He also pointed out that UNRWA possesses the experience, infrastructure, and knowledge needed to support the gradual return to formal education for children in the war-torn sector, should a ceasefire be achieved."
